We spent three nights at Glacier View campground at Redfish Lake. According to our world traveler, DRW, "The Sawtooth Mountains are the most incredibly beautiful" mountains. We essentially have heart-overload for the state of Idaho this summer. Amazing.
Camping at Redfish is unique because we are close to the Lodge and its amenities. We drove there a couple times-- one evening, after dinner at our campsite, we listened to their live, outdoor music and rented paddle boats. The following afternoon, we hopped on one of the Lodge's boat shuttles that drove us 10 minutes across the lake where we hiked to The Lily Pond and waterfall. Once the shuttle brought us back to the Lodge, we reunited with some good friends and neighbors who were also staying in the area; the kids swam in the lake with friends and we enjoyed an ice cold beverage before returning to our campsite.
I just love these experiences with the Whitfield 4, and I love that we will all take away special memories from these hot, dusty, dirty, and relaxing days.
