We just returned from a week up at the lake. The long 4th holiday weekend was spent with all 10 of us at the cabin! The Whitfield 4 slept in the "Schoolhouse" bunkhouse; it was quite an adventure listening to all the sounds during the night (Daddy's snoring, Sophie's teeth grinding, Cameron's sleep talking... not to mention the real wildlife!). Sophie water skiied for the first time! She was amazing, and I was screaming with joy during every second of her first run! Doug enjoyed mountain bike rides, I went for runs, the cousins played together in the sand, adults did what we do best--eating and drinking--and we celebrated the 4th of July together!
Here are all the photos from the first part of the week!

On the 4th of July, we did what only true Americans do.... dress up like Indians and do crazy shenanigans! "Feathers" (ferns) in the hair, "war paint" (lipstick) on the cheeks, "battle cries" (humming) in the air... bizarre but hysterical memories!
More photos to come!
