Before our "school year" routine started today, we spent one last summer hurrah up at Priest Lake. Per usual, it was a perfect balance of sun and sand, rain and thunder, indoor and outdoor play, family and independent time. Doug and my dad completed the Priest Lake triathlon. The Whitfield 4 enjoyed several days with one another. Grandma and Papa joined us for more days of fun and love. And the kids made special memories. They were both so curious and adventurous which I absolutely LOVE to see.
... skipping through the forest, jumping in mud puddles, throwing rocks in the water, running down the trail for a morning hike, hunting for the bunny, digging in the sand, screaming for joy as the rain and hail pelted the cabin roof...
Our (exorbitant amount of) snapshots cannot do justice to the MAGIC that these two kiddos experienced. It was a perfect capstone to a full summer.
