...neighborhood.
Halloween was awesome. We trick or treated for 1 hour! Our lucky neighborhood opened their doors to hear a very excited 3-year old say, "HO HO HO! Trick or treat!" This costume choice was 100% chosen by Sophie. And the girl worked it. She was Santa complete with the beard, the big bag, and Rudolph. Baby Boo (a nickname Sophie and I have for Cam that coincidentally works for Halloween!) wore a hand-me-down octopus costume that Sophie wore two years ago (
see HERE). But, as I reassured Doug, Baby Boo wore it like a man.
Sophie's sensitivity is a wonderful gift; we have noticed her really being sweet and thoughtful in situations with her new friends from school. She also has the most genuine love for her baby brother, singing him songs in the car to soothe his tears and asking him about his day when she returns from preschool. Not to be outdone, Cam has made us so proud this week, too. He has new sounds that include "Mum Mum"...while I think it is getting very close to "Mommy", Sophie corrected me that it sounds like "mum mums"--the teething crackers he eats. He wraps his lips around his gums like an old man with no teeth and says "mum mum mum mum."
On to November and our favorite time of year!
