We spent the long weekend on Whidbey Island with our friends, the Volks. It was a relaxing little getaway that included a lot of laughs, too much food, rounds and rounds of the game Apples to Apples (once the toddlers were asleep), cozy time inside and outside, and over 300 photographs! One of the highlights of the weekend (that was unfortunately NOT documented on film) occurred when all 4 parents and 2 toddlers held hands, danced in a circle, and sang "Ring around the rosie..." Sophie and Quinn did an awesome job sharing toys, sharing food, and sharing hugs. Thank you to Ben, Jenni, and Quinn for this "abenture at the beach house" (Sophie's words).
(D had several opportunities this weekend to fly his kite!)
(As if braving the wind and cold to fly his kite wasn't enough, D also sat outside during part of the storm.)

And, I must document the MAJOR POP that happened this week. They aren't joking when they say that you show earlier in your second pregnancy...wow.
