Fun (and Turkey) in the Sun

We spent Thanksgiving week in Maui with my family. Sophie thrived in the sun and sand and loved all of the attention (and ice cream) that was given to her from her Grandma, Papa, Uncle Chris, and Aunt Ali. Check out Aunt Ali's blog post about the trip here. Doug and I took 403 photos (!!!), so here are just some of the highlights of our 13-month old and her exploration of the tropics:

Sophie woke up to balloons from Daddy.

She explored the "squishy" "squishy" pumpkin.

She opened prezzies!!

She ate yummy spaghetti. Please note the noodle on the top of her head. It remained up there through dessert time!

And, Sophie loved the famous Johnson "Wacky Cake." See the noodle on her head?!

Several days later, on Halloween, Sophie tried to be the good luck charm for the Seahawks...

She brought her new doll out to play in all of the leaves...

And, she humored her parents by wearing an octopus costume...

We joined our beautiful neighbor, Caylin, and her parents to go trick or treating.

Sophie had an awesome 1st birthday and Halloween week!
